Data protection

Collection of general information

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar information. The information is exclusively of the type from which no conclusions can be drawn about you personally. The information collected is a technical necessity for providing you with the content you have requested from websites, and is mandatory when using the Internet. We statistically evaluate anonymous information of this kind in order to optimize our Internet presence and the technology it is based on.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use what are known as "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our web pages.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

This website uses the following types of cookies:   Transient cookies

These are cookies that allow you to move quickly, easily and efficiently through multiple pages without having to re-authenticate each time. This includes, in particular, the session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This will allow your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. Transient cookies are automatically deleted as soon as you close the browser after your session.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are regularly set up to accept cookies. You can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via the settings of your browser. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that some features of our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

Deletion or blocking of data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here, or as provided for in the various storage periods stipulated by law. After discontinuation of a particular purpose or expiry of these periods, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted as a matter of routine and in accordance with statutory regulations.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users interact with the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will reduce your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be consolidated with other Google data. You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser, however please note that if you do this you might not have access to the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link. The current link is http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

In order to display our content and images correctly and attractively in all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/).

Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to prevent multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, the content will be displayed in a default font.

Invoking script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library’s operator. In theory, it is possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – for the operators of these libraries to collect data. The privacy policy of the Google library operator can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
